You know it's time to give up the JW religion when your route call tells you to
by jambon1 inlasting memory of the latter period of time in the organisation:.
i had a route call with the magazines whom i'd called on for a number of years.
eventually when i become a parent i became consumed with negativity, doubt (blood issue) & depression.

Just one more point my overseer paired a sister who was my size and who he had deemed as HUGE also with sister petite, while when she was not in the closets sleeping she spent hour's on the phone with her twin sister and I had worked with her myself if work was not done it was my fault not her's.
Well this sister who was paired with her tried to lift by herself and a whole pallet of glass fell on her. It crushed her leggs and burished her and she was off work for a couple of days but all in all she was OK. The reason it happened was sister petite was on the phone with her twin for such a long time sister HUGE like me knew she would get yelled at and did the job by herself.
All my overseer said was thank goodness none of the glass broke.
John 13:35 is all I can think of right now.

I totally get what you mean. I too knew many who got awesome care. It totally depended on what position you had. The brother who was our table foot had back surgery and they sent him to the best doctor's outside Bethel. He got phenomenal care. He got 6 months off work and when he came back, very light duty.
I also went to a OBGYN when I was there who was the best doctor I have ever been to. He was from Cuba and left his thriving practice in Corpus Christi to work for free at Bethel.
I am not saying they do not have good doctors at Bethel, but their hands are tied. Like I needed the pill and this brother just could not get it for me.
Bottom line was who you were and who your family was. I was a no body and throw awayable, and I got treated like that.
There were other's there that got sent outside to collage for training and got job's that were great.
In fact one of the couples that came in with us was a real brown noser. He openly admitted that his goal was to have my overseers position. He went beyond what my overseer told me. While my overseer was on vacation this brother just royally ripped into me telling me that my overseer and him had talked and that I was beyond horrible at my job. I was lazy and didn't work fast enough, and that there was no reason why I was not putting out more work. He told me I had to work by myself on floors alone. And I was not the only sister treated that way, nor person even. I had a temp brother come up to me near tears asking if my overseer was really a JW.
The brother who ripped into me had mentioned before all of this he was so thankful that his wife was on computers because he didn't want her to have to do such physical work. And Jehovah was blessing them because she would have a great skill if they left Bethel.
So yes there are phenomenal doctor's and some get extremely good care. But not all of us.

Your work is not in vain! Thank You!
by de-opresso-liber inbeen lurking since early this year.
there are many of us out there (at least in this area, central u.s.) who are waking up and crossing the line to talk to each other about it.
in our area, several elders, ministerial servants and pioneers are actively and openly sharing info with each other daily.

Welcome. There are so many times I honestly wonder if anyone is really thinking in the religion Here in the Northwest of the US it seems everyone is just going along and accepting every change that comes along without any questions.
There are a couple of married couples that are reaching out to go to the new school, the pioneer's seem to be growing, it's depressing to see knowing that they will not have children. One couple just sold their home and are loudly drinking the kool-aid.
I keep thinking how can they be so blind.
I hope that there are one's like you in my area and I just don't know it.
Thanks you have given me hope.

Selloff Hinted At Assembly
by thedepressedsoul inthe last talk at the assembly made an interesting statement, "we can show faith by following direction if we're asked to move to another kingdom hall for better use of dedicated christian funds".
this statement has everyone talking.
i spoke to multiple individuals and they heard the same thing at different assembly's.. i know they have been "evaluating" all kingdom halls the last year or two.

JW Carts Cause Thousands to Start Studying!!!
by Drifting Away ini would love to know the stats of how many hours were spent, standing by a cart, or sitting at a local town fair with jw table tent set up, compared to the number of bible studies started that led to baptism since the inception of the carts.
anyone have any idea?
if i had to guess i would say thousands of hours pent standing by a cart, and maybe less then 5 that actually got baptized.

Stuckinarut isn't that what Jonah did with the bottle gourd plant and how did it work out for him according to the GB. I never thought of it that way before.
Where I live they were trying to stand in front of the post offices and that got stopped. I saw one elder doing it before they stopped it and he was on his cell phone the whole time. Whenever anyone came near him he turned his back on them with his phone to his ear.
One of the latest JWTV things say that in San Francisco they have started 100rds of studies this way.
Not where I live they are not starting studies this way. At the local fair this year they also had this huge booth, it would have cost at least a lot per day for the 14 dsys the fair ran. I saw no one go to it, expect JW's

As an elder's wife I can atest to what the opening post said, we never had a marriage. It was amazing how RUDE and down right spiteful some of the JW"s can be.
One time I had a work function that I needed my husband to attend with me, it could have cost me my job. Well this needy sister called the night before and told me that she needed my husband to come over and hold her hand the next day right at the time of my function. I really tried to be calm and nice and explanded that he was going to be busy but could come afterwards. She started to scream at me that she didn't give a care about me and that as an elder my husband had better be there the next day or else.
Now my husband had spent day's and day's and day's with this sister leaving me home alone, but I knew that if he found out she wanted him the next day he would still blow me off and go running to her. I unplugged the phones and didn't tell him she called.
Stuff like that happened all the time.
Also as anelder's wife here in the US I never knew the elder's are called independent agent's, which translated means that they can be sued and the powers to be in Bethel will not help them out. It would have been good to know as the state I live in if my husband's sued, it would totally affect me and I would lose everything.
Something that even a lot of elders don't even know.
